Vittoria Baglieri

Throughout her academic and professional experiences in the EU, Asia, and the UK, Vittoria has been driven by a keen interest in comparative housing policy. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Bocconi University, she spent one semester at Yale-NUS in Singapore, collecting data for her thesis—a comparative study of the public housing systems of Italy and Singapore. Subsequently, Vittoria moved to Oxford to pursue her M.Phil. degree in Comparative Social Policy, researching the topic of financialization of social housing in Europe, and contributing to multiple research projects within the university. She also became an expert on Oxford’s dancing scene and a connoisseur of the town’s best dining spots. Back in Milan, she worked at SDA Bocconi on research projects exploring the links between management strategies of public housing associations and tenants’ lived experiences. After the summer, Vittoria will start a Ph.D. in Social Policy at the University of Oxford. She is fluent in Portuguese and a native speaker of Italian and Spanish. This will be her third summer with Oxford Academia.
