At the University of Texas at Austin, Miriam pursues interdisciplinary studies, combining her passions for public health and economics. As part of these studies, she has traveled to Panama, Costa Rica, Israel, and Jordan. During the summer, Miriam has facilitated programs in Costa Rica, gaining insights into community healthcare needs and the importance of governmental differences in healthcare delivery. She has also worked as a Legislative Policy Analyst, leveraging her experiences at the Texas House of Representatives. Miriam is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew. This fall, she will continue her academic journey, pursuing further studies in global health policy, with a focus on addressing healthcare disparities and promoting equitable access to healthcare worldwide.
