While at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Carlos focused on mathematics, statistics, and economics, graduating at the top of his class. Alongside his studies, he played on the university basketball team and competed in the 3×3 University National Championship. He then pursued a master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Oxford, where he also joined his college rowing team. Carlos has taught mathematics, statistics, and machine learning to high school students preparing for the International Mathematical Olympiad at a math camp in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has professional experience in the banking industry, where he works as a data scientist, and he also served as a research assistant at Spain’s largest research institute. He is fluent in Spanish and English and speaks basic French.
