Oxford is already beginning to feel like home for our third session of Oxford Academia students. During their first few days, they’ve been exploring the city’s winding streets, climbing historic towers, sampling British traditions, and getting to know one another before seminars kick off.
Scavenger Hunt
Last night, our students took part in an Oxford scavenger hunt. Each team worked together to crack a series of clues, with every solved clue revealing the next location somewhere across the city. After completing the challenge, teams made their way back to the college to claim their prize, while the first team to return earned a voucher for Oxford’s famous G&D Ice Cream.

University Church Tower
On Sunday afternoon, some of our students climbed the University Church Tower. One of Oxford’s most recognizable landmarks, the tower offers sweeping views over Radcliffe Square and the surrounding city. Dating back to 1280, it is adorned with intricate gargoyles and grotesques, giving students a chance to appreciate both the city’s history and its remarkable architecture.

British Cheese Tastings
This afternoon, our Creative Writing lecturer, Rob Miller, hosted a British cheese tasting for our students in the Corpus Christi College Gardens. They sampled five different British cheeses, including Montgomery’s Cheddar, Baron Bigod Brie, Sinodun Hill Goat’s Cheese, and Ashcombe Cheese, while learning about the traditions and craftsmanship behind each one.
