- Typical Seminar Size:
Led by a practicing doctor or professor of medicine, this seminar introduces students to every aspect of medicine, from the science prerequisites in the pre-med major, to the systems of the body and how they correlate to the various specializations in medicine, to career paths in clinical practice and research, to the latest developments in medical research today. Topics included in this seminar bring attention to such diseases as cancer, diabetes, obesity, HIV, and COVID-19. Meet with researchers and medical practitioners to gain a better sense of the challenges doctors face today and how the practice of medicine continues to evolve.
On the Yale program, students in the Pre-Med seminar will have the opportunity to practice dissection. There is a supplemental fee of $100 for this major and $50 for this minor.

For more than 20 years a member of the senior faculty of the Medical School at St. Andrews University, the oldest Scottish University, Predrag is a distinguished clinician and researcher educated at the University of Belgrade, with advanced medical training at the University of London, the James Paget Hospital in Norfolk, and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He specializes in the clinical training of medical students at the University of St. Andrews and has taught in summer programs for high school students since 2012. His main interests are in Medical Education and OSCE assessment. He is fluent in Serbian, Croatian and English.
