Rawletta developed a passion for human rights while studying law at the University of the West Indies in Barbados, where she focused on researching the human rights impacts arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a youth ambassador in her home country of Guyana, Rawletta went on to spearhead several community and youth development projects, including “Project Jumpstart,” a career mentorship program that has impacted over 300 Guyanese youths since its launch in 2021. She also has a keen interest in mooting, which earned her the first prize in the 2022 Caribbean-China International Law Mooting Competition. Rawletta is now a Rhodes Scholar pursuing a DPhil in Law at the University of Oxford, where she continues to hone her expertise in law as a tool for social transformation.
