Learn how Oxford Academia students at Yale University make the most of their free time on an excursion to the Big Apple after a week of amazing academics.
On Saturday, our amazing students took a well-earned break from academics and set off for a choose-your-own-adventure day in New York City. The whole group kicked things off with a breezy boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty up close.
From there, students split into small crews—some wandered the sleek halls of MoMA, soaking in modern art, others got hands-on in a bagel-making class (with delicious results), and some chose to explore the colorful maze of the Grand Bazaar market.
Later, everyone regrouped at the iconic Carnegie Hall before heading to Chili’s for dinner, where mozzarella sticks were accompanied by passionate debates about which activity had been the best.
Those looking to stay local in New Haven stayed to tackle two escape rooms before unleashing their inner gamers at Dave & Buster’s. They linked up with the rest of the crew for dinner, full of stories, laughs, and more than a few prizes.
